Spring is here. Canadian style, anyway (today the high is -6C). Yay, Canuckistan! Even though it's still pretty frosty outside, there are stirrings of new growth everywhere! I have a new project to talk about and a new direction with my work!

First of all, let's talk about the new project. I recently completed a new site for the Downtown Farmers' Market Lloydminster! I was super stoked when I was offered this project, which came from a customer referral, as the new Farmers' Market is one of my favorite new places in Lloyd.
If you don't know about this jewel yet, it's time to get hip. Located in the new Fred North Community Centre (old United Warehouse building) it is managed by the Olive Tree (another fantastic addition to Downtown Lloyd). You can find lots of great vendors including Lower Shannon Farms, Old School Cheesery, Mom's Bannock and Bamboo Sushi! Ah Lisa's Saturday paradise: one of Lim's amazing bacon and sun-dried tomato rolls, local food and second hand stuff at the Olive Tree! The only thing missing is a lovely soy latte. Hint hint: someone please open a real coffee shop Downtown!!!! Seriously. Do it.
I built the site in my favorite builder, WIX. It's a simple, modern layout with great photos and will be super easy for the DTFM to manage. Being a not-for-profit, WIX also makes the project come in at a very affordable price. Be sure to visit the site, add them to your social and visit them in person. But please don't eat that bacon roll. It's mine!
If you would like to build a WIX site yourself, click on the banner. This is a link that is affiliated to me and if you decide to go with WIX, I'll get a little something from them for promoting their business. And please know this, I will never affiliate with anything I don't fully endorse. Give it a click, get your site started and if you need a hand with it, give me a shout and I can help you out.
So what's new on the work front? I have given my notice at the Chamber. I will be finished there at the end of April. I have enjoyed getting to know the Members and have seen the Chamber accomplish a lot in my time there, but it is time to move on. I will be ramping up my freelance work, jumping in to some some new ways to deliver content and earn dollahs online, and will finally be launching my own new media production company that specializes in environmental and social issues. Stay tuned for that one.
So if Spring has inspired you to start a new business or refresh the website for a current biz, contact me here or call 780-808-7187, we'll have a coffee or a sushi roll and make some plans to get you growing online!
